All I need is a “Courageous Heart”

Last week I was asked to be a guest artist for an Art Therapy lecture and I needed to provide a Zentangle design, explaining the entire creative process

I’ve just started to deepen my study into Art Therapy and the fact that a very successful and knowledgeable teacher from the UK was offering me to be part of her new project it made me feel very proud, but on the other hand, I was very nervous and all the feelings of not being good enough for the task were assailing me all at once.

I’ve struggled most of my life with a sense of low self-esteem.

I’ve always felt that I wasn’t good enough, although everyone around me kept praising me for my endless creativity.

I’ve started many projects that has been left unfinished, somehow for the lack of confidence and the fear of judgement.

However this time has been different. I needed to prove myself that I could do it!

This was the best assignment that anyone could have ever gave me. It really helped me focus and express myself in a way that boosted my spirit and improved my focus.

I’m developing a “Courageous Heart” to fulfill my goals and dreams, while using the best tool that I have: “my endless creativity…”

“Courageous Heart”

Propelling Your Blog As The Next Hot Ticket Item

The Little Mermaid

Eureka! I’ve finally discovered the secret to blogging success! The good news is that I can’t wait to share the magic potion with all of you! Whoot!

Let’s get started…

What is ‘blogging success’ at the outset? Is it something achievable? Is it quantifiable? For me, a successful blog is one that is loved by all. A blog that is pampered in its niche attracts thousands of visitors, garners hundreds of likes and is home to a never-ending string of comments. A successul blog stands out from the rest because, well, it is amazeballs. But what does it take for an amateur to get there? Did it cross your mind at some point in time that those established bloggers were starters, like you too? Yeah? Good!

1. Passion

Passion is the key to unlock the door to blogging sucess. When you blog, you have to do it out of…

Thoughts of Gratitude

I am grateful for life itself and the limitless power that I possess to create my own reality.

When I feel a sense of appreciation, I expand my own life and learn how to overcome any difficulties.

This process helps me bringing to light my humanitarian spirit and compassion for others.

I am thankful for all the experiences I have lived through and also the many mistakes I made which at the end, they have turned out as blessings.

I keep navigating through life with strength and dignity, thanking my family and friends who always did and will continue to support any of my efforts to become the best that I can be, for my highest good and the good of others.

Let’s Be Kind To One Another

Yesterday it was the anniversary of my mom’s passing and today it’s “World Kindness Day”.

It’s the perfect combination that inspires me to express certain feelings.

My mom was such an intelligent and beautiful woman, who sadly suffered from depression, which led her taking her own life at the age of 46.

My brother and I were just teenagers at that time. and I admit, I was so self-centered  that I couldn’t recognize her cry for help.

After I realized that she was really gone, forever, I experienced lots of pain and blamed myself for being so blind, unable to stop the course of her destiny.

No matter how life goes on, every year, on November 12, those memories kept resurfacing, while bringing to light the tragedy of “suicide”.

But this year I have decided to celebrate this day releasing those bad memories and dedicate love and joy to my mom.

I see her surrounded by the energy of the bright colors of life itself.

Now, I’m the mother of two teenagers and it’s very painful to hear about the many suicides happening between young people in today’s world.

I follow my kids on social media and I’m very concerned about the hate and lack of kindness that circulates through those posts.

The “bullying factor” is what brings children who suffer from depression and lack of self-esteem to take their own life.

This time I’m here for my children!

I teach them that it only takes a small act of kindness to lift others up.

Making someone’s else feeling loved and accepted, sometimes it may really change the course of their destiny.

Let’s be kind with one another and as responsible adults, let’s teach our children to become compassionate.

I’m very grateful for my own children growing up as kind human beings.

The Power Of Doodling

Everybody can benefit from any type of creativity, from writing on a blog, to painting, to…doodling!

Yes, right, doodling.

The first time I heard about the benefit of doodling, it was through an “Art Therapy” course that I decided to take to expand my knowledge and venture into a new career.

I have always been very attracted to learn about this powerful method which is used to treat various emotional and psychological issues.

Doodling is proved to be very beneficial on improving our memory and helping us to focus.

It can also become a very appreciated artistic expression.

The Liebster Award

I am so honored for this recognition.

Thank you to RelationshippointBlog for nominating my Blog. Please check it out, very inspiring!

I have just started this new venture and it motivates me so profoundly that someone else finds my writing worth of this kind of exposure.

Liebster Award

As requested, I am very happy to share a little bit about myself.

  1. What inspires you in life?  Love and acts of kindness.
  2. Are you selective about who you follow on WordPress? I follow who has interesting messages to share, regardless if I agree or not. Life is a learning process and everyone has something great to teach.
  3. How likely and why will you recommend blogging to someone? Very likely, as one of the most promoted way for self expression.
  4. What impact have you made on others around you with your writings? Hopefully I keep encouraging them to never give up in front of all the many challenges that life throws at us unexpectedly.
  5. Share with me some of your challenges in blogging and how you overcame them.
The writer’s block is my most common challenge. To overcome this struggle I usually reach out to my artistic talents. With drawings and paintings projects, as Art Therapy sessions, I am able to unlock new feelings and find new ideas for my posts.
  6. How long have you been writing? I have started almost ten years ago as a children’s book author and illustrator. At this present moment, I have decided to adventure into a new realm of inspirational and motivational books. Blogging fist helps me becoming familiar with this new path that I have chosen and building up a following, before publishing my next book.
  7. Do you believe in God? I believe in the infinite, powerful “Energy” that we all possess within ourselves and that connects us with the entire Universe. This is the “Energy” that provides us with the strength and determination of becoming anything we desire.
  8. Which country do you wish to travel anytime soon when the opportunity comes? Definitely Italy, for a very good reason. To visit my oldest children and grandson who currently live there.
  9. Do negative comments piss you off or encourage you? As long as they are expressed with respect, constructive criticism is always well accepted.
  10. Have you for a second thought of quitting blogging? “Quitting” does not exist in my vocabulary. When I have a goal to achieve, I always work hard until it is fulfilled.

Below the questions for my nominees:

1.  When did you start your Blog?

2.  Is there a specific reason why choosing WordPress instead of other providers?

3.  Do you write just to inspire others through your Blog, or is there a bigger goal?

4.   Did you participate in any blogger training? Or, are you planning to?

5.   What type of Blog does grab mostly your attention?

6.   How do you think is the best way to overcome a writer’s block?

7.   Do you possess any other passion or talent beside writing?

8.   Do you believe these Blog Awards can really help writers being discovered?

9.   When you monitor comments on your Blog, do you allow criticism to be posted?

10.   Do you consider writing the best way for self expression?

And here my nominees, please visit their sites, all very motivating!

Thank you and KEEP A HAPPY HEART!
