Let’s Be Kind To One Another

Yesterday it was the anniversary of my mom’s passing and today it’s “World Kindness Day”.

It’s the perfect combination that inspires me to express certain feelings.

My mom was such an intelligent and beautiful woman, who sadly suffered from depression, which led her taking her own life at the age of 46.

My brother and I were just teenagers at that time. and I admit, I was so self-centered  that I couldn’t recognize her cry for help.

After I realized that she was really gone, forever, I experienced lots of pain and blamed myself for being so blind, unable to stop the course of her destiny.

No matter how life goes on, every year, on November 12, those memories kept resurfacing, while bringing to light the tragedy of “suicide”.

But this year I have decided to celebrate this day releasing those bad memories and dedicate love and joy to my mom.

I see her surrounded by the energy of the bright colors of life itself.

I LOVE YOU MOM!

Now, I’m the mother of two teenagers and it’s very painful to hear about the many suicides happening between young people in today’s world.

I follow my kids on social media and I’m very concerned about the hate and lack of kindness that circulates through those posts.

The “bullying factor” is what brings children who suffer from depression and lack of self-esteem to take their own life.

This time I’m here for my children!

I teach them that it only takes a small act of kindness to lift others up.

Making someone’s else feeling loved and accepted, sometimes it may really change the course of their destiny.

Let’s be kind with one another and as responsible adults, let’s teach our children to become compassionate.

I’m very grateful for my own children growing up as kind human beings.

HAPPY WORLD KINDNESS DAY!

The Power Of Doodling

Everybody can benefit from any type of creativity, from writing on a blog, to painting, to…doodling!

Yes, right, doodling.

The first time I heard about the benefit of doodling, it was through an “Art Therapy” course that I decided to take to expand my knowledge and venture into a new career.

I have always been very attracted to learn about this powerful method which is used to treat various emotional and psychological issues.

Doodling is proved to be very beneficial on improving our memory and helping us to focus.

It can also become a very appreciated artistic expression.

Words That Rock My World

One morning, while sipping my coffee outside on the porch of our new home, I noticed scattered rocks in a corner.

They were unusually smooth and shiny. I picked one up and it radiated such a strong energy that made me feel calm and happy.

Those rocks looked just like the ones you find on the bottom of the rivers.

The smoothness of the river rocks, made by the continuous flow of the water on the edges, portrayed the flow of strength and determination that I have used to smooth my life’s condition.

The shiny look, represents my new diamond like polished heart.

I use rocks painting today as a therapeutical process to express and heal myself and encourage others to do the same.
